ShieldNest is free to households and small businesses. Participating pest control companies pay a flat fee to take part. We do not sell pest treatment, give treatment advice, or promise any pest will be eliminated. Any pricing you see on ShieldNest, including on our costs page, is a typical estimate range, not a quote or guarantee. Real prices depend on the pest, the size and condition of the property, how severe the infestation is, the plan, and your area.

When we share information

We share your information only as needed to provide the matching service or operate the website.

• With service providers that help us run the website, forms, analytics, communications, or spam prevention
• If required by law or if needed to protect users, ShieldNest, or the public

If a company recommends pesticide treatment, read the product label and follow all safety directions around children, pets, and food. Ask whether lower-toxicity or eco options are available when they fit your situation.

Your choices and contact consent

You are in control of whether to submit a request and who you hire.

• You can compare companies and hire none of them.
• You can verify each company's state license yourself before agreeing to service.

Because ShieldNest is a matching service, not a pest control provider, we cannot guarantee treatment results, eradication, or any health outcome. Pests can return even after treatment. The company you choose should explain the plan, any preparation steps, follow-up schedule, warranty terms if offered, and all pesticide-safety instructions before treatment begins.
